We’re now over halfway through the auditions of Season 11 on America’s Got Talent, and one thing has become clear, this season could be a big one for the kids! Many people have noticed that Simon Cowell is much nicer on the show than when he judged on American Idol and although he did buzz a lot of acts last night he did have a soft spot for the young singers falling in love with the acapella group “One Voice” and 12-year-old country singer Kadie Lynn. Despite finding some favourites he still wasn’t compelled to press the Golden Buzzer to send an act to the live shows, although next week he is expected to find that act! Check out some of the highlights of the night below!
Cutest Act – Usually I reserve this designation for an act with children or animals, but these dancing seniors were just too adorable last night! I was a little surprised they made it through, but I’m excited to see what they bring to the stage next time!
Weirdest Act – In the past weeks there have been acts that have been stand out bizarre, last night was no exception! Sometimes you just have to wonder if people think they’re good or just want their 15 minutes of fame!
Acts to Watch – My favourite part of each week is picking favourites and looking for acts that could go far in the competition and even though there were many acts that Simon deemed the next big thing, my favourites last night sometimes strayed from his predictions! If you can believe it there were 5 acts in total last night that absolutely blew me away: Sal Valentinneti (who originally competed on American Idol), Russian Bar Trio (Who were on Season 3 of AGT, but had to drop out due to an injury), Duo Guerrero, juggler Viktor Kee, and 13-year-old stand-up comedienne Lori Mae Hernandez!
