Kaylyn Kyle (born on October 6th 1988, was raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian Soccer Player who plays midfield for the Canadian Women’s National Team, and Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the USA.
Kyle was a member of the Canadian Women’s National Team that competed at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany. At the 2011 Pan American Games Kaylyn won Gold, as part of the team that defeated Brazil in the final match to secure top spot in the tournament. Kyle’s Olympic dreams came true when she won bronze at the London 2012 Olympic Games, playing a prominent role throughout the tournament in Canada’s midfield. Kaylyn was named to the Canadian Women’s World Cup Team in May of 2015. The FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup was hosted by Canada and she had the opportunity to play on Canadian soil to a sold out Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, in the World Cup opening game against China on June 6th 2015. During this World Cup, she earned her 100th cap for Canada on Saturday June 20th in a round of 16 match against Switzerland, joining a small group of Canadian women who have accomplished this feat. The other members of the select 100-plus cap club on the Canadian roster are Captain Christine Sinclair, Karina LeBlanc, Diana Matheson, Erin McLeod, Sophie Schmidt, Melissa Tancredi and Rhian Wilkinson.
