Another year, another amazing Grammy Awards! If you missed out on the night, the biggest winner of this year’s awards show was definitely Adele! She took home all five awards that she was nominated for including top awards like Album and Record of the Year, although she made it clear that she thought Beyonce deserved the Album of the Year distinction!
Aside from her wins, Adele continued to win over everyone’s hearts through her performances! She flawlessly redeemed herself following her awkward performance at last year’s show, kicking off the night with a performance of “Hello”. After starting out of key during her George Michael tribute, Adele decided to stop the performance and start over because she wanted everything to be perfect. She clearly felt bad about the mistake, but it didn’t stop a standing ovation from the crowd following her moving rendition of “Fast Love”. Of course her biggest moment of the night came when she professed her love for Beyonce during her Album of the Year speech and even broke her Grammy in half to give to Queen Bey!
Some of the top looks at the show this year included Carrie Underwood, Adele, Chrissy Teigan, Demi Lovato, and Beyonce!
My favourite performances this year were definitely the Prince tribute performed by Bruno Mars, Adele’s tribute to George Michael, Beyonce’s incredible nine minute performance, and Lady Gaga’s collaboration with Metallica (even though there were some technical difficulties!).
Some of the other best moments of the night for me included when Twenty One Pilots accepted their award for Best Pop Duo Performance without their pants on, and James Corden’s ectrance to the show which had me laughing out loud!
