The holidays can be a stressful time. It always seems there is so much to do, people to see and buy gifts for, and of course all the parties and dinners that you need to make food for! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the holidays check out a few of these tips to help you get through the next few weeks with a little less stress!
- If it seems like you have too much to do be it gifts to buy, baking, or crafting: Take a step back and prioritize. Make a list of the things you need to do and then re-evaluate how important each of those things are. Then choose your top three priorities and stick to only those.
- If you’re feeling a little sad through the holidays: Take some time for yourself, only attend the events you really want to, and stick to activities that you enjoy rather than doing things to please others.
- If you feel you’re plans aren’t working out the way you had anticipated: Try being a little more flexible. Often times there’s a lot of pressure to have the “perfect Christmas”, but letting go and rolling with the punches, even if it means breaking from tradition, could make the day a lot less stressful and even more enjoyable for everyone!
- If you feel you’re fighting with your spouse: Take the time to talk through your feelings. Communication is always key, but during a busy time of year being able to communicate your stress or frustration can definitely help make things easier.
