Remember watching The Flintstones or I Love Lucy and seeing the couples sleep in separate beds? For most couples living together the thought of separate beds is kind of an old fashioned idea that you’d probably never think of doing yourself. A new study by the University of Leeds might have you rethinking it though!
According to researchers, sleeping with someone else could cause insomnia. Think back to the last time you had to fight for the covers and you can’t tell me you’re surprised by this one. The study found that about 30 per cent of people say they have trouble sleeping at night and many blame their partner for keeping them up!
Of course there could be other reasons leading to a lack of sleep at night like stress, too much caffeine, illnesses, but many couples have actually started sleeping in separate beds and report getting a much better sleep!
Maybe Fred and Wilma were really onto something with those separate beds after all!
