Pretty much everyone has a junk drawer somewhere in the house. It’s that place you put the tape, playing cards, that old key that opens a lock you may or may not have anymore, and it could also have a few items you didn’t know could be added to your first aid kit!
Next time you’re cleaning out the cupboards make sure you hold on to these!
– A clear glass: If you develop a rash from a fever, or any other sickness, press a clear glass on the affected area, if you can still see the rash it might be time to get it checked out by a doctor for meningitis!
– Plastic wrap: Turns out this can be a great tool to keep around to treat burns! If you get a second or third degree burn, clean it with cold water and then wrap it in plastic wrap to avoid infection until you can get to the hospital.
– Super glue: This little tool can be used for so many things, but the reason you need it in your first aid kit immediately? It can be used on wounds! If you have a cut that you can’t control, clean it then apply super glue until you can get it looked at by a doctor!
