Last night the judge cuts finished up for the summer on America’s Got Talent! Now 80 acts have been cut down to 28 and the live shows start next week! In total 14 groups were saved this week in the competition, but I’ve picked out a few more favourites who look like they could go far! Check out some of the highlights from this week below!
Night One: Out of the seven groups picked there were four that I really enjoyed on this night including George Lopez’s Golden Buzzer pick, the dance group from Argentina, Malevo. I was pleasantly surprised by Daniel Joyner’s improvement from his first audition to this week, he’s now carrying himself more like a young Michael Buble, and I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out how Blake Vogt pulled off that magic trick. However my favourite act this week by far has to be Brian Justin Crum. His first audition wowed everyone when he flawlessly belted out “Somebody to Love” by Queen with ease, and his cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” this week moved everyone in the room so much they almost didn’t know how to respond at the end!
Night Two: I definitely enjoyed this night of judge cuts a little more this week, but I’ll stick with a top four once again! First up Jayna Brown, who came on to the stage like a regular 14-year-old girl who clearly is in love with the boys of One Direction. She was giddy and nervous and you couldn’t help feeling nervous for her, until she started to sing! It was no surprise Louis Tomlinson decided to give his Golden Buzzer save to her pretty early in the show! Even though they aren’t the strongest dance group in the competition I have quickly become a fan of the Outlawz group. After their performance Mel B pointed out that there were a few mistakes that she noticed, but no one could deny they stepped up their routine from round one and did a pretty great job especially for a group that only started dancing together within the past couple years! Some other big acts to watch include juggler Victor Kee (I know juggling is usually boring, but this guy is an exception!) and mentalists The Clairvoyants! Both of these acts could easily captivate an audience in Vegas!
